If you wish to complain to Yodel about their service including non and late delivery of parcels, and/or damage in transit issues then call their complaints line on 0844 409 8653.
Yodel is a large UK independent parcel carrier handling some 135 million parcels each year through various methods including nationwide home and business delivery, and local courier services.
The name Yodel was coined as a contraction of ‘your delivery,’ and this independent courier, with a fleet of over 5,000 vans, serves some 1,500 clients and has a relationship with around 80% of the UK’s leading retailers including Argos, Boots Direct, Amazon and Tesco Direct.
Yodel claim to be the largest business-to-business and business-to-consumer parcel service company, and further claim to cover every UK postcode. On a peak day a workforce of over 16,000 people are visiting over 1 million homes.
They divide their delivery business into various sections to meet differing delivery needs.
Home and Business - liveried vans delivering to homes and businesses nationwide.
Neighbourhood - a courier service, working locally and offering extended delivery hours.
World - an international delivery service.
Direct - door-to-door parcel collection and delivery service. Geared largely for higher volume home users such as online sellers (Amazon and eBay for example).
CollectPlus - a joint venture with PayPoint. Customers can collect, send or return parcels from a local newsagent, filling station or convenience store.
They also offer a ‘large item’ delivery service through their sister company, Arrow XL. This is especially useful for delivery of white goods, for example.
Yodel offer various delivery options, online parcel tracking and special deals for heavier parcel users.
Contact Yodel on their complaints line 0844 409 8653 should you wish to complain. The lines are open Monday-Friday 8.00am - 9.00pm and Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm. There is a feedback form on the website, although this is not likely to be suitable to register a complaint online being more of a ‘market survey’ of what you thought of the service.
According to a survey undertaken by MoneySavingExpert.com in January 2014, Yodel emerged as the worst parcels delivery firm with over half of its customers rating it as “bad.”
Yodel countered this poll by claiming it is un-verified and that the feedback they receive from their customers on TrustPilot actually puts Yodel ahead of its main competitors. As of results recorded in January 2014, Yodel was scoring an average of 4.5 compared to major competitor averages of 2.8.
